The NWA-3500 can be configured as an 802.11a or 802.11b/g access point with up to 15 non-overlapping channels (upon regulatory domain) for high density and large-scale deployments.

With dual-band support and rogue access point detection that covers the whole spectrum, all traffic can is monitored at all times.
The NWA-3500 dual-radio feature supports dual-band configuration allowing it to be configured as a concurrent dual-band access point providing maximum wireless throughput. It can also be configured as an 11a device for bridging, or 11g device for extending the wireless coverage without compromising throughput. The concurrent dual-band capability provides unlimited flexibility for efficient WiFi network setup. Deploy the VoWiFi ready NWA-3500, and enjoy the convenience of low-cost conversations instantly. The NWA-3500 is designed to combine voice, networking and wireless communications in one solution. It's WiFi WMM-certified and has ZyXEL's unique auto traffic classifier (ATC) that automatically prioritises traffic, especially for conventional applications. With roaming capability, another VoWiFi essence, the NWA-3500 supports pre-authentication and PMK cache, as well as IAPP enhancements to improve the hand-off timing. The NWA-3500 offers enterprise class security features to small and medium businesses. To shield wireless communication at the source the access point provides the latest and toughest standard-based security, WPA2 with TKIP/AES encryption, while WEP encryption supports legacy wireless clients. WPA2 also ensures compatibility with all Wi-Fi-certified wireless clients. The NWA-3500 supports up to eight SSIDs with 802.1Q VLAN tag which allows it to perform as multiple virtual access points. Pre-defined voice SSID and guest SSID provide optimised voice prioritisation and provides top-level security for guest access without the the need for complicated configuration processes. Supporting a wide variety of administration features means users have powerful and secure control over the system. A breakthrough benefit includes a centralized account on a RADIUS server to control all the NWA-3500 access points; this simplifies management efforts and improves the security of the network. Users can also perform large scale installations and configuration upgrades via the auto-configuration function.
